Identifying and avoiding hazards
As the accidents at Düsseldorf airport and major fires in high-rise buildings and other public areas show, fire poses a danger to life and limb, which is why fire protection is so important.
When you realise what causes most fires, your understanding of measures to prevent fires grows. The smallest flames, such as candles or tea lights, electrical faults and even burst water pipes, often cause fires. These are all things that we encounter every day. It is important to give the highest priority to personal protection, but also to the protection of property and the environment.
Our customers operate exclusively in the decoration sector and are therefore constantly having to strike a balance between outstanding design, the maximum fire protection that is technically possible and the requirements and wishes of the building owner, planners and fire safety officers. It is also important to comply with fire protection regulations, which differ from state to state in Germany.
As a supplier, Toms Gerber GmbH is always involved in fire protection with regard to construction, ship fittings and rail-vehicle fittings.
Some of these sectors have vastly differing regulations and sometimes cannot even be compared with each other when it comes to compliance with the relevant fire protection requirements!
